About PECPLI

PECPLI is a Continuing Teacher Education Program for English teachers. This program aims at contributing with the professional development of the participants, engaged in discussions about methodology, practice, and reflections about education. Different topics are discussed annually, according to the group’s needs and interest.

Since 2004, year PECPLI started, we have lived moments of great changes. In the beginning, we had a monthly meeting and we are now meeting twice a month due to the limitless possibilities for discussions we see ahead – which also includes reflecting on past issues and giving new insight into them. Our meetings take place in the Departamento de Letras at Universidade Federal de Viçosa, MG.

The result of the commitment of the group led us to our first conference, CLAFPEL, in 2008, to present the results of our work, which represented a challenge faced with great enthusiasm – just the beginning of our ongoing journey.

In 2010, PECPLI is finally going virtual with the launching of this blog, which, to some extent, represents our search for refining our knowledge and sharing experience.
